Spring 2007
All I remember from spring is more work and having fewer co-workers every time I went in. I finally let Laura get a kitten, and got a 316 phone number. We didn’t do much traveling after moving from Emporia and only had one car until late March.
In February I finally found a decent job. I began working at Office This where I constantly interacted with small business owners and got to see my economic and business degrees in action. I also began work on my MBA at Wichita State University.
We moved to Wichita from Emporia after I graduated from ESU in December. At the time of our move Laura wasn’t working and I worked part time for the Turnpike.
The first job I had in Wichita came two weeks after we moved and lasted until I was offered the position at Office This (approx. 4 weeks). The job was one I don’t talk about often because I was an accounts/collections manager for a store that financed overpriced furniture to the poor.
