Exam Results, Cars, and Baby Names
By admin • Jul 16th, 2006 • Category: UncategorizedWe’ve been pretty busy the past few days so there are no new additions to the site and nothing really exciting to report. I got my test back Friday in my Management class and did really good (go me!) and then once Laura got home from work she got to be patient while I studied all afternoon for the insurance exam I had yesterday in Overland Park.
I was worried because I didn’t get the chance to study for a couple weeks due to class and I wasn’t doing very well on my first few practice tests, but the last minute cramming managed to pay off because I ended up scoring higher on the actual exam than I did on any of the practice ones. This means once my boss sends in my paperwork I will be licensed as a life, accident & health insurance producer for Kansas and Missouri (as needed for work).
Prior to the exam I got to vote in primaries and afterwards Laura and I took my grandma car shopping. My grandma wants to get either a new Accord or a Civic, and I believe right now she is leaning towards the Civic since it’s the same size as the Accord she has now and gets better gas mileage. We might buy the Accord from her when she decides on which one she wants.
After doing that we met up with Todd at Chili’s, which was delicious as always, and headed to American Eagle and The Jones Store. Laura found a really nice necklace and set of earrings she is going to wear in the wedding. I required a nap after that and then we had dinner at Longbranch with my parents (the bar they visit every Wednesday and Saturday for karaoke) and came home.
This brings me to my favorite part of the day.. since its about 100 miles from Overland Park back to Emporia we usually find something interesting to talk about. This time we got on the subject of what we want to name the kids we will eventually have some day in the not so near future. We came up with, and agreed on, a boy’s name and a girl’s name since, like everyone else, that’s what we hope to have. I’m not going to say what those names are but I can tell you the ones we didn’t decide on.
First off, I like the name Cullen but apparently Laura can’t tell that from colon and says she doesn’t want to name our kid after a body part. She likes Keenan, but that reminds me of the guy from Nickelodeon’s All That and Agent Cody Banks so that’s a no go. The names we did decide on have the initials MTS for the boy and RES for the girl. Feel free to make guesses as to what those stand for.
As for today, we intended on going to Park City to visit Laura’s dad but ended up sleeping too long. So now we’re going to be lazy and possibly clean the apartment and we might go tomorrow or Tuesday instead. I will keep you posted on my job. Don’t forget to RSVP and vote in the polls.
