That Smith

We’ve still been pretty busy the last two days. I’ve had class and studying to do for my securities exam and Laura’s been doing what she does best – sleeping, eating, and making messes. Yeah I’m going to get in trouble for that one. She’s at work right now and I’m about to go visit her for a cup of coffee.

I met with my manager yesterday at Waddell & Reed to go over my insurance exam results and to fill out some paperwork. He’s on the road picking up training materials for me and will be out of town most of next week so I get to study for my NASD securities and advising licenses (Series 7 and 66) while he is away and we will begin the actual training starting in August. He said we could do the training at a slow pace since I have class and the wedding, but I convinced him to do it at a faster pace so instead of being done by the wedding, we will now be done before I go back to class on August 16th.

The ferret’s broken cage is holding up for now until the new, sturdier one arrives. It was supposed to be here on Friday but was delayed a little so I’m thinking Monday? Laura and all her smartness came up with the idea of turning the cage around so the broken door is against the wall. Now they can’t escape. Ha take that Peeker!

In other news, my aunts are throwing a shower for us sometime in August and I gave them a list of people to invite. Some of the addresses that worked just fine for wedding invitations are coming back no such person. Then I guess someone that we didn’t invite and who we don’t even know somehow received an invitation and told them they are coming. This is going to be exciting…

And finally, I’ve added a second album in the photo gallery as a surprise for Laura. I took some still frames from one of her old home videos so go see Laura as a baby. Also while we’re on the topic of old stuff, yesterday’s Wall Street Journal mentioned some cool websites that archive digital versions of old 78 recordings.
