That Smith

I experienced my first college-level field trip today because my Operations Management class, the one I started yesterday, went on a tour of a factory here in Emporia. I can’t tell you what the company does because I was super tired from having to get up early after doing homework until late last night, but its something to do with making hydraulic clamps for other factories (Toyota, Ford, HP and some others) to use on down the line. Laura was teasing me about having to go on a field trip, but it wasn’t all that bad. I just have to write a paper over it which I think stinks.

Other than that boring blurb there, I wanted to make sure all of you were aware of one of the polls that are going on right now. While making the site I had the idea of making a poll to poke fun at us while keeping you guys in suspense over what we’ll have at the reception. I intended on there being funny choices like Taco Bell, Subway, and other types of food that you all know Laura loves or will not eat, but she saw the poll and was like, “Cool let’s really have them choose!” Uhoh… So the current choices are: Pizza, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Fried Chicken, a Sandwich Platter, Peanut Butter & Jelly, Tacos, my famous Chili, Pancakes, or Other (post in comment) – and currently Pizza is winning. If you are like me and would rather not eat pizza at our wedding, I suggest you go vote on the Reception page.

The poll is set so you can only vote once per household. Laura wants me to make it so you can vote again every week but I know a lot of people probably won’t get on the page so I don’t think I will. Also I believe some people are voting who are not coming to the wedding. If you are in that category please abstain from this poll.

And finally, we are just now adding items to our Registries so feel free to browse through those if you wish. Good night!
