Happy ferrets and fresh ‘tatos
By Chad • Jul 22nd, 2006 • Category: Daily LifeJust look at those happy ferts.
Their new cage arrived yesterday right before Laura got home from work. I thought I would have enough time to put it together before she would get here, but nooo she had to come home early.
But that’s always a good thing…
We put the cage together and moved the ferrets in. They were all excited at first, but then realized it was a cage and not a new toy. After all that excitement we went to Wichita to take Natalie her bridesmaid’s dress and went to Cici’s with Laura’s dad. Then I got to farm!
We finally got over to dig up the potatoes in his garden. We started with the white ones, but didn’t do too well because they were small and hard to find. Then moved to the red potatoes and filled three bags digging just one row. We are going to go back sometime to dig up the rest, but right now they have more than they know what to do with.
Once we finished being ‘tato farmers we went and saw Laura’s mom and hung out with her until about 11:30 before coming home. I played with the dogs some and they worked on plans for the wedding. We got home after 1 AM and the ferrets were still in their new cage. Ha Peek can’t escape! And then we headed to bed.
I created a new photo album for miscellaneous pictures which currently contains the ferrets in their new cage. Laura took them swimming on Thursday and it was pretty exciting, but we didn’t think of getting any pictures of them then so I will have to remember to do that next time.
Lastly, I picked up a real estate guide at Cici’s yesterday just so we can start looking for a place to move once I graduate. As most of you already know we’re planning on buying a house in Wichita after next December.
The whole reason we’re leaving Emporia is so we can get back to a city and so I can do plenty of financial advising. If you know of any nice $100,000 – $250,000 homes inside city limits let us know.
