… and the presentation I’m giving Tuesday, I have been reading various blogs and figure I will procrastinate more by sharing those I find interesting.

I’ve read plenty of entries and sub-par newspaper articles about this week’s Facebook fiasco (yesterday’s Kansas City Star reported Facebook yielded and removed the feed) and I feel that is a finished ordeal. I won’t be talking about that. Instead what first caught my attention was this:

Report on Iraq Shows No Link Between Hussein and Al Qaeda. If you are a student and don’t have access to the WSJ Online, your school’s library probably has an access code you can use. Otherwise here is the CNN version: Senators: CIA dismissed Saddam-al Qaeda ties before war.

If you take the time to read the article, which I think speaks for itself, all thats left is to ask, “So why are we spending $50,000,000,000.00 a year in Iraq?”

I am not saying we shouldn’t be there or that I disrespect our brave soldiers (my cousins and friends included), but if we already knew they didn’t have WMDs and didn’t have ties with Bin Laden, why did our administration focus on Iraq?

The second article that caught my attention, sadly, was about Facebook. Its been what, 6 days now? Good job New York Times on keeping up with the issues… But anyhow, what caught my attention was the headline that I believe epitomizes our world today:

IF there is a single quality that separates those in their late teens and early’s from previous generations of young people, it is a willingness bordering on compulsion to broadcast the details of their private lives to the general public.

So true.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are losing, but the Broncos are too so Laura can’t rub it in too much.

I suppose I can wrap this up now with mention of yesterday’s debate between Governor Kathleen Sebelius and Jim Barnett. If you were unable to listen to the debate or attend at the Kansas State Fair (WTF?), you missed a pretty exciting event. I was at home but managed to listen to a good part of it online.
