There Went Another Crazy Week
By Chad • Aug 25th, 2007 • Category: Daily LifeIt seems whenever I am finally on a roll with my writing something always comes up that disrupts my pattern. This week was no different.
Earlier this week it seemed I was about to make some major headway on achieving my goals for the year. I was offered a job that would have made it possible for us to buy a house within the next month, but – of course – things turned out otherwise.
The job was going to pay slightly less than what I make now, but would have allowed me to continue working full time at Office This, or at least it was supposed to. I went in to fill out the paperwork and I was notified that due to certain regulations I would be required to quit all of my other jobs before I could start the new one. Not good.
I also found out that after the first few years of being paid salary I would be switched to a position that pays commission only. Not good either.
Before all this happened, Laura and I looked at several houses that are in the range of what I feel we can afford now, and what I want to be able to afford. Then the rest of my week was spent looking for part time jobs so we can move out of our apartment, and working a good 50 hours.
Tomorrow looks like it is going to be a slow day so I will share a few more links and will finish the post on calling to reduce your interest rate. If everything goes well then we should have other good news coming too. Check back often or subscribe to one of the news feeds.
