That Smith

Laura and I each have handy little lists to remind us of the things that are important to us that we want to save for. These lists are our “want” lists.

My current list contains things like a christmas tree, a lawn mower, carpet, and a new BBQ grill, since we now have a house and didn’t have any of these things when we moved. There are other things on it too, but they are either not important enough to mention or were mentioned previously in my goals for 2008.

Earlier this morning I happened to uncover a few files I saved when we were living in Emporia, so the following are items that were on my “want” list July 13, 2006. Keep in mind that this list is of the things that we hoped to have some day, and that Laura’s nickname is Tato. I’m not sure, but I think she may have added a few things to it when I wasn’t looking…

So, that was the list of things I wanted when we were living in our one bedroom apartment in 2006. The apartment was crap and had appliances that cost us a fortune. I wasn’t making very much money at the time and also disliked the bathroom, and was dreaming about what I wanted things to be like in the future.

The items are not in any particular order. Once Laura found the list she made her own, and I remember we got a little carried away and added a few extra things to mine. That’s why we call it our want list.
